Welcome to Apodaca Jewelry
Joe Reyes Apodaca and Linda Woltjes Apodaca, Apodaca-Goldsmiths/Silversmiths.
We have had our designer/jewelry business in Lake Oswego, Oregon, a suburb of Portland, Oregon, for over 30 years.
We design and make fine-art jewelry in a wide variety of metals such as gold, platinum, silver as well as the more unusual jewelry metals of steel, Damascus steel, iron and meteorite. The diversity of our techniques include fabrication, forging, raising, welding and casting of metal.
Stones, pearls and shell frequently dominate our work. With a complete lapidary set-up we cut many of our stones. This allows a wide variety of sizes and shapes plus the ability to highlight unusual configurations in a stone. Joe is also a facetor, a specialized aspect of stone cutting.
The making of hollowware is a skill we each learned from a Danish silversmith when we attended The School for American Crafts in Rochester, N.Y. Chalices, patens, ciboriums, teapots and bowls are some of the many pieces we have created over the years.
Designing and making jewelry comprise the main part of our business. We work with clients to make custom pieces or one-of-a-kind designs. We have also created several “lines” of jewelry. One popular line consists of our creative interpretations of crosses (pendants). These can be purchased on our website Store.
Our jewelry is available to purchase at our studio/showroom (by appointment only) or by contacting us. Many pieces are also available through these three Oregon galleries: The Real Mother Goose and the Hoffman Gallery at Oregon College of Art and Craft (both in Portland) and at River Sea Gallery in Astoria.
